His father was out of the picture and left their family when he was still a child.
He went to a top performing school near his hometown.Before ascending and at the age of 20, he had been taught by a martial arts master. He had few students under his wing, but one of them stood out to Yuhong; his name was Qing Xuan. His moves were always sharp and accurate, but he had shown quite a unique personality. He was cold, blunt and doesn’t speak often despite always having a scowl on his face. They were training buddies for 4 years, and Yuhong was often teasing, provoking and poking fun at Qing Xuan for various reasons. Qing Xuan never replied back to his antics, staying rather indifferent, until their master suddenly disappeared. The students scattered, and Qing Xuan never came back.With his powerful status, he was practically guaranteed a spot in heaven, and therefore ascended at the age of 24. Despite enjoying the privileges he had, he didn’t like how the heavens operated out of a gut feeling and therefore frequented the mortal realms more.
After ascending, he was appointed the Martial god of Xianshan at the same time, as the former martial god had died.During one of his missions when he was around 30 years old, he had felt a pair of eyes on him. Barely dodging the blade flying next to his head, leaving a small scar, he sees this mystery person — a man in silk green robes. He remembers these colors and his movement like the back of his hand, as these were the same manneurisms a man he’d met before his acension would wear — Qing Xuan, now a contracted assassin, set out to take Yuhong’s life due to political disagreements between Xianshan and a still unknown contractor (to Yuhong). Wishing to reconnect with his former training partner, he offers to invite him to a tea ritual in his palace in Heaven in a playful tone. Qing Xuan gets upset at his carelessness and leaves on a truce with a warning to Yuhong.He proceeds to show up infront of Yuhong’s palace doorstep two days later, if only to snatch his fill of tea and escape, leaving behind one of his talismans, which made it clear to Yuhong who took it.Through his journey, he became intested in poetry and set himself out on a mission to find the writer behind his favorite poems. The writer turns out to be Rosetta, who was using a penname to distribute under.
He took a liking to her character throughout a trip they took across the country to study more poetry together and ended up proposing to her to help her out financially.

雪莲 Xǔe lián - her alias amongst the commoners, because of her snow-white hair (as Shade). She’s also rumored to have been born on Tianshan, the mountain where these flowers grow.
Trivia: she hates wearing socks. For some reason, she thinks they’re very uncomfortable and always walks around barefoot.

She doesn’t care too much about her appearance and health, which often leads to neglecting her basic needs and passing out at random times, either due to starvation, dehydration or various other things.After being reborn as A’ting, she meets Ailuo at the foot of Xihu mountain, where it borders the deserts. She took a liking towards Ailuo due to their shared musical talents and skills — she often will perform pieces playing the guqin with Ailuo, who plays the pipa. From time to time, they will also dance together. Due to A’ting’s shyness, she has rarely performed in public before and only acts as Ailuo’s background instrumentalist.

They bond over their shared love for music and art and promised to eachother that they will be there for every performance they take part in in the future.Trivia: She has Ailurophobia (fear of cats). Devvi

Her personality is categorized as rather bubbly and energetic and she gets easily impressed at the most mundane things. Despite having stayed on Ethymis for a long time by now, she still stumbles upon new knowledge she didn’t know beforehand. Due to her energetic vibe, she often comes off as rather honest and blunt.
Due to old customs on her former planet, she likes to boop noses with people, as this was a form of greeting back home. Despite her close relationship with Rosetta and Ailuo, she doesn’t tell them much about her past.Timeline:Devvi used to be part of the royal lineage on a different planet, however she wasn’t next in line for the position of the throne. Her royalty caused her to experience a lot of isolation and loneliness, as her parents never let her experience the world as a young child. She was mostly locked up in her room. There were times where the only thing she did was hum to the stars from her balcony window. The stars never hummed back.One day, during her time on the far-away unknown planet, she met a person whose name she never knew, nor had they revealed their gender — Devvi assumes the person is androgynous. Because Devvi didn’t have many friends, she grew attached to them and formed a good bond with them. She had spent everyday with this mystery figure, who taught her the secret workings of Syncera, a type of liquid that binds worlds together.Until one day, she heard a calling from the stars after she hummed at them. Knowing her parents were out attending a banquet, she used her accumulated knowledge of the liquid and broke free from her room, setting herself off on a long journey amidst the stars. She believed Syncera has a sentience and therefore wants to discover the source of it — which is how she ends up in Ethymis, where she felt the pulling of Syncera to be the strongest.Upon landing on Ethymis, she had lost her power to fly. It felt like an entity started oppressing her powers, so she had no choice but to stay. Knowing obtaining more knowledge was the only way to continue her journey, she enrolls in Qingxu shan yuan 清虚山院 at xihu alongside Ailuo and Rosetta aswell, hoping to find answers.

He’s an excellent swordsman, having been a student under the same martial arts master as Yuhong. Ever since their training grounds was set ablaze, he hopped around jobs, often landing in poverty, until he found a market that worked for him — contracted killing. His current contract is to take Yuhong’s life, however, he feels conflicted to do so.
He desperately grasps for a purpose in life, often finding it difficult to find his reason in this world. He thought killing would bring him a purpose, which is why this career attracted him.
Despite being a “contracted assassin”, his contracts aren’t as spontaneous and anonymous as they used to be before. His current contractor has been contracting him constantly for 2 years; it’s almost like he’s started to work for him, and him alone.Qingxuan was born to a family he doesn’t remember. He was orphaned at a young age and struggled to find food often.When he was 16, during a trip in the bamboo forest to find nourishment, a martial arts master stumbled upon him. They trained together as the master took under multiple other students. He prepared him to face the dangers of the world and taught him his knowledge.At 24, Yuhong starts training with them too. Qingxuan feels unnerved and annoyed at Yuhong and his antics — often leaving him in a bad mood after being made fun of the entire day. However, he never had any real friends, so he was one of the only people he had to spar with, considering all other students were younger or older.After stumbling upon their training grounds in fire, and discovering their master’s disappearance, he runs. He turns back to his former impoverished life, until a man discovers his talent in swordsmanship. He hires him anonymously to carry out the murder of one of his enemies. Qingxuan accepts this offer.He grows used to this type of life, being able to go undercover and take out his targets with excellent precision. Until an unknown man re-hires him for the first time. This man has been constantly rehiring him for the past 2 years. His actions are always kept strictly anonymous and secret, even making Qingxuan sometimes wonder who he is working for.

Her hired-assassin job is something she revels in. Suada doesn’t view murder as something to fear, rather, she finds beauty in ending the life of others. Others view her as a cunning and almost charmful. These traits can be seen in her art aswell. Her victims are often murdered in a way that feels almost artistic. The way she might pin the victims’ insides onto a mannequin makes even the spectaters feel enamoured despite the gruelling sight. Her victims never see the blade, because they’d be too busy admiring her embroidery. Despite her love for her work, she does not feel aclined to a side. If someone pays her enough to carry out a “commission”, she wont hesitate to do it — it doesn’t matter if they’re “morally correct” or “morally wrong”.TIMELINEBeing born just a few years shy of the War of Vengeance, Suada witnessed a lot of violence during her childhood. She also is very self conscious of her appearance and tries her best to look as best as she can everyday.She’s picked up the instrument “dizi”, and forged one of her own.Her past began as a young child of Selura, one of the first generations along with Rosetta to populate the planet. Upon reaching the age of 10, she and Rosetta seperated. Miuna had went into the mountains to find a worthy master to take her in as his disciple. However, she was deceived by Seere into a human experimentation camp for 5 years of her life. During this time, the Heavens had ordered the archangels to confiscate a few people of Selura, in order to perform medical experimentation on them. This includes things such as body enhancement, but also various diseases, which led them to be subject to many torture methods. The people were none the wiser, but Miuna is one of the few that managed to escape the facility. She has grown to become a fierce woman due to her experiences.She however does not know it was Seere, an archangel, who deceived her, and believes it to be a group of rebels trying to smear the heavens’ reputation. Raphael or “Seere”, also referred to as “Lady of Pride” by folklore, is an archangelHer presence is often felt among mortals. Whenever someone falls ill, they all pray to Seere for healing. Her voice has a calming, eerily gentle touch to it. She’s patient and never raises her voice. However, under her guise is a woman who does not care about healing people at all. Her warmth is just a tool to make people believe and trust her, only for her to turn on them and make them repay their debt to her.
